Update needed!
I am really going to take some time and post pictures and updates of our activities for the last 10 months, but right now I just want to update on what happened yesterday. We put Jacob in swim lessons in November halfway through the winter semester. He was basically getting private lessons for 2.5 months as the other kid in his class rarely showed up. Last night started the new semester with a new teacher, new class (full - 4 kids), new day/time. 2 of the kids were terrified of the water, 1 boy screamed bloody murder before/during/after being forced in the water. So Jacob was ahead of all these other kids. Fortunately, the teachers noticed this immediately and came to ask us about moving him up to the advanced 3 yr old class. He would be just slightly behind those kids (swimming 5 seconds vs 6 or 7 seconds). So we gladly accepted and moved him to a new class at a new day/time. I think they were shocked he had only been taking lessons for 2.5 months and was already at this point. Our little fish...

Snow, birthday parties, and Easter
March has been such a busy month. We started off with 2 days of snow in the same week, with temps in the 80's the following week, Brooklin's 2nd birthday party, Addie's 4th birthday party, and then Easter. Here are some pictures from all of our activities. Jacob loved the snow once I gave him my ski gloves and showed him how to make snowballs. He had a blast at Brooklin's jumping party despite the bad ear infection he had that day. He loved the trampoline and big slide at Molly and Addie's house. Then, of course, came all the Easter candy which we'll be eating for the next month!

Snow!
We had our first snow of the season (and in the new house) last night. It was so pretty, such large flakes coming down. I took Jacob outside this morning for a minute to play in it but he wasn't really into it just yet. The first thing he said when he saw it out the window from upstairs was "where's the grass?" He's so inquisitive.

The other night I was putting Jacob to bed and we were saying prayers. He went through the whole list - God Bless Mommy, Daddy, Grandma, Grandpa, Granddad, Nana, Grammy, all aunts and uncles and cousins...then he paused and said "That's alot of prayers." I said "yes, it is alot of prayers". He makes me laugh.

Shawn Mullins live show
Keith and I went to see Shawn Mullins last Sunday at Poor David's Pub in Dallas. It was an awesome show and I had waited a long long time to see him in person. It was well worth the wait. Now I can't wait until his new CD comes out on March 11.

The Independent Toddler
Seems like all we hear these days is "I do it" or "I did it" (scary!). Jacob wants to do everything himself. And almost every action is prefaced with "Ready, Go!".
